any
historical sites now have websites that tell you about the location and
history, and many have their own schedule of events posted on their websites.
Also, many of the historical sites are on the web thanks to interested people
rather than the site itself. So some of these are "unofficial" websites.
The important sites for my Ranger unit are listed on my Living
History page, but here is a longer list of sites, in case you are interesting
in cyber-visits to some wonderful old places.
( showing where it is and hotels/amenities; the page does take awhile to load)
(a fabulous site covering several centuries
of early American history)
Van Cortlandt House Museum (a lovely gem in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY, where I have volunteered many times)
