iving History and its ancillary topics have become my favourite pasttime. Living history, for those of my friends learning about it for the first time, is also called "re-enactment". It means putting on the clothes, manners, and accoutrements of a specific period in history, using the tools available at that time, doing activities appropriate to that time, and for many people, taking on a persona to portray (either real or fictional).

My primary period of interest is the French and Indian (F&I) War; secondarily, I also focus on the Revolutionary War.

People who participate in the F&I re-enactments often participate in the Revolutionary War, as many of the military units were the same or similar. This is because of a couple of reasons. First, historical events flowed so quickly from one period into the other that many of the names and faces were the same. Second, each type of unit had a particular characteristic and way of fighting, and even if the names of the units differed between wars, the main characteristics and fighting styles remained the same; so the Highlanders fought like Highlanders whether they were the 77th (F&I) or the 42 (Rev War); same with the Rangers. So people who recreate one will generally recreate the other.

This site is to introduce Living History to people who might be interested in it, to provide information and links about my favorite period in history, to share my experiences in Living History with those who might be interested, and to share events and photos with those who participate with me and are in some of these photos and stories.
