As I lay dead during battle on Sunday July 8 at
Hubbardton, the troops went back and forth across the area where I and many
other dead people lay. Here are the backs of the
6th Connecticut regiment,
one of the rebel units that had gained the ground I had previously been
defending, now firing upon the
Select Marksmen.
