20-24: Death of Lord Howe, Ticonderoga, NY A
one-time event, beginning a 2-day boat and canoe expedition from Fort William
to Trout Brook Valley to engage with French, and ending with the death of
Lord Howe (reenacted by John-Eric Nelson) near Fort Carillon (Ticonderoga).

VT Reenacting the Battle of Hubbardton, 1777, in which
the British forces coming from Fort Ticonderoga surprised the Colonial
forces at 4:00am and whoopped 'em good. Please read my report

28-29: Nathan Hale Homestead, Coventry, CT Nathan Hale is an American
hero who was hanged by the British in 1776 for being a spy, and according
to legend his final words were: "I only regret that I have but one life
to lose for my country." The irony of our attending this event as King's
Rangers, led by Robert Rogers, is that Rogers leading a group of Queen's
Rangers was responsible for Hale's arrest in New York City. For more in

in good numbers and basically whoopped the French!

Fort 4 describes this as "A portrayal of Robert Rogers' company of men [THAT'S
US!!!] as they return from St. Francis. Be on hand to view the return of
the Rangers in the morning by raft and watch the Fort 4 Militia go out to
fetch the survivors. Hear the stories from the bedraggled men themselves."

Anniversary of the Battle of White Plains, Rev War Encampment, Pound
Ridge, NY
(finally, some place close to my home!). This is going to be a very big
event. Pound Ridge is a beautiful location, and this event is going to recreate
some of the original battles from the . Should be wonderful!
