This photo, taken by someone else in a different unit than mine,
is of a portion of the camp at Jumonville. during the F&I Encampment June 2000.
The entire weekend was densely overcast and the clouds were very low, all of
which gave the weekend a sort of mystical atmosphere. The figure walking
across the field is the one person who is ALWAYS in ANY picture no matter who takes
it, the one person who is always in the camera's lense:
Major Mike Fitzgerald (commanding my own Rogers' Ranger company).
I don't know how he manages to be in ALL the pictures,
as he doesn't even wear a spiffy uniform!
